Thunder at 4p.m.: Durant showcases vocal talent

NORMAN — Despite only being 23, Kevin Durant is expanding his resume off the court. The Oklahoma City Thunder's 3-time scoring champion has already starred in movies, commercials and has his on line of shoes.

But Durant has taken it to a new level by showcasing his skills on the microphone on the newly released single "Lonely at The Top" with the San Antonio Spurs Stephen Jackson (Stak5). It was released this week.

Whenever athletes try their hand at music, I normally shake my head an move on. But when I found Kevin Durant was going to be featured on a new song, I had to at least give it a listen. And I have to say I am impressed. Both him and Jackson are miles ahead of such epic NBA rap debuts from Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant. I was particularly impressed with Durant. It's a different side that most fans will enjoy even if they are not fans of Hip-Hop.

"Lonely At The Top" will appear on Stak5's forthcoming Jack Of All Trades mixtape. It can also be purchased on iTunes. Take a listen at (http://youtu.be/2m8o6wvq3jE)
