Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate to hold tryouts

TULSA — The Oklahoma City Thunder's affiliate will hold open tryouts for the 2012-2013 season next month.

Tulsa 66ers says tryouts will be held Oct. 20 and Oct. 21 at the SpiritBank Event Center.

Registration is set Oct. 20, and two sessions will follow. Only top performers will be invited to participate in a morning session on Oct. 21.

Individuals will be evaluated through a variety of drills and scrimmages. Prospects will be assessed by 66ers coaches and Thunder basketball operations staff.

Previous open tryouts have produced several players who made the 66ers opening night roster including Brandon Brooks, Ben Colon, Marcus Lewis and LaDustin Williams.

The 66ers open the 2012-2013 D-League season at home against the Texas Legends on Nov. 23.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
