OU to open Big 12 play with Mountaineers in 2013

NORMAN — A rematch of Oklahoma’s wild victory at West Virginia will come early next season.

The Sooners released next year’s football schedule Tuesday, including a Sept. 7 visit from the Mountaineers to Norman. Oklahoma won 50-49 at West Virginia on Saturday night in the teams’ first meeting as Big 12 foes.

Oklahoma will open 2013 with three straight home games, against Louisiana-Monroe on Aug. 31, West Virginia and then Tulsa on Sept. 14, then have an off week before a road game at Notre Dame on Sept. 28.

The Red River Rivalry game against Texas will be played Oct. 12 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
