PORUM — The Hulbert girls continued their torrid start to the season by blasting Gore, 48-20, on Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the Greenleaf Invitational in Porum.
Tiffany Thompson led Hulbert (3-0) with 18 points, while Allison Arnall contributed 11 points, seven steals, five assists and five rebounds. Lindsey Krueger added eight points and seven rebounds for the Lady Riders, who led 19-3 after the first quarter.
Hulbert, then, owned a 25-10 advantage at halftime before putting Gore away with a 15-2 third period.
The Lady Riders will take on either Kinta or Webbers Falls in the tournament semifinals on Thursday at 7:10 p.m.
The Hulbert boys also won easily Tuesday, beating Webbers Falls 60-34.
Craig Potts led Hulbert (2-1) with 18 points, and Chris Vance added 13 points.
The Riders advanced to the Greenleaf Invitational semifinals on Thursday where they’ll face Porter at 8:30 p.m.
