Claremore at Tahlequah

Where: TMAC at Tahlequah High School.

Nicknames: Tahlequah Tigers; Claremore Zebras.

Girls game

Records: Tahlequah (13-9, 8-3 Metro Lakes Conference); Claremore (12-9, 9-2).

Coaches: Tahlequah (Chad Walker); Claremore (Stephanie Shaw).

About Tahlequah: The Lady Tigers are ranked seventh in Class 5A in the coaches’ poll on okrankings.com. ... Tahlequah is coming off a 51-47 loss to Bishop McGuinness on Saturday. Randee O’Donnell led Tahlequah with 16 points.

About Claremore: The Zebras have come close to snapping their season-long losing streak recently. Claremore lost to Pryor, 70-63 in overtime, on Tuesday. That followed a 44-38 setback against Collinsville on Feb. 8.

At stake: The district tournament games will determine who picks up spots in the Class 3A Area I regional tournament winner’s bracket. The loser will fall to the regional loser’s bracket.

About Keys: The Lady Cougars are riding a three-game losing streak heading into the playoff. Keys’ last game was a 43-36 loss to Oologah on Monday.

About Salina: The Lady Wildcats made the 3A state tournament last season. ... Salina has won three straight games, including a 57-43 rout of 3A No. 8 Kansas on Feb. 8.

About Keys: The Cougars are No. 16 in 3A. ... Keys has dropped six of its past seven games, including a six-point loss to Oologah on Monday.

About Salina: Two of Salina’s three wins this season have come since Feb. 1. However, the Wildcats enter the playoffs after back-to-back losses to Chouteau and Kansas.
