OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder waived guard Walker Russell on Monday, reducing their training camp roster to 18.
Russell, who played 28 games with Detroit last season, was the first player to be cut by Oklahoma City during training camp. He appeared in one exhibition game, scoring five points with one assist in 6 minutes.
The Thunder must cut three more players before the regular season.
Tulsa-Arkansas game on Nov. 3 to be televised
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Tulsa-Arkansas game on Nov. 3 at Fayetteville is to be televised on the SEC Network.
Arkansas announced Monday the game will have an 11:21 a.m. kickoff.
Tulsa and Arkansas last met in 2008, when the Razorbacks beat the Golden Hurricane 30-23.
On Saturday, Arkansas hosts Ole Miss at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. That game is also on the SEC Network with an 11:21 a.m. kickoff.
