Oaks falls to Porter

TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — The Oaks Warriors had a balanced offensive attack despite the 46-0 loss to the Porter Pirates on Friday night.

Logan Reasor had 11 yards rushing on seven carries while Josh Snell had 23 yards on four chances. Joe Spriggs had four rushes for 11 yards.

The Warriors passing was equal as Colby Marler was 4-of-8 for 19 yards with no interceptions. Reasor was 4-of-8 for 22 yards with two interceptions.

Marcus Scarborough ran for two touchdowns for the Pirates. Scarborough had a 36-yard run in the first quarter then a 1-yard run in the second quarter. Eric Ridgway run for the two points for an 8-0 lead.

Ridgway scored on a 90-yard run in the second. Scarborough ran for the two points for a 16-0 lead.

Marcus Bruner caught a 25-yard pass from Scarborough and Derrick Myers ran for the two points for the score of 24-0.

Scarborough ran for a 1-yard touchdown later in the second quarter then Ridgway ran for the two points for a 32-0 lead. Bruner had the final score of the second quarter with a 60-yard interception run. Scarborough ran for the two points to make the score 40-0 at the half.

Porter completed their scoring on their first set of downs in the third quarter as Scarborough found Myers for 19 yards for the final of 46-0 win because of the mercy rule.

Porter ends the regular season as district champion at 10-0 overall and 8-0 in district and will play at home Friday against Weleetka at 7:30 p.m. in the first round of the playoff.

Oaks finishes the year at 6-4 overall and 5-3 in district. The Warriors will play at Davenport in the first round of the playoffs Friday at 7:30 p.m.
