Hulbert drops close one to Warner

TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — The Hulbert Lady Riders lost a close 7-6 game to Warner in Big Eight Conference Thursday.

Maykala Young had the big blow with a three-run triple. Angelique Garcia followed with a triple to score Jo Wynn.

Aleah Young was 2-for-3 with an RBI single and Jo Wynn was 1-3 with a double and a run scored.

Pamela Farmer had four strike out on the mound for Hulbert.

Jori McPeak of Warner had a two-out two-RBI double for the win and Katityn Teague had two hits and scored twice for Warner.

Morgan Webb and Kaylen Parker also had two hits for the Lady Eagles. Macy Carman had a RBI triple and Brittany Hawkins added a home run in the 12-hit attack to secure the Lady Eagle win.

The Lady Riders will play at Gore Monday in a conference make-up game at 3:30 p.m. Hulbert then plays in the district tournament Thursday against Sallisaw Central and Pocola at a site that has yet to be determined.
