Tulsa finalizes 2013 football schedule

TULSA — The University of Tulsa has released its 2013 football schedule that includes games against Oklahoma and four other schools that played in bowls last season.

TU opens the season on the road Aug. 31 at Bowling Green and the home opener is a week later against Colorado State — followed the next week by a trip to OU.

Other home games are against Iowa State, Rice, Texas-San Antonio, Marshall and North Texas. The Golden Hurricane play at Tulane, East Carolina, U-TEP and Louisiana Tech.

OU, Bowling Green, Iowa State, Rice and East Carolina each played in a bowl game following the 2012 season.

Tulsa is coming off an 11-3 season in which the Golden Hurricane won the Conference USA title and the Liberty Bowl.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
