Three members of the Northeastern State women’s golf team were named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
There were 602 women’s collegiate golfers who earned the laurel at the Division I, II and III levels. Student-athletes must carry at least a 3.50 grade-point average to earn recognition.
Junior All-American Whitney McAteer, sophomore Danielle Wright and freshman Alex Koch were all named to the team.
McAteer carried a 4.0 grade-point average and was named to the team for the third-straight year. The speech pathology major won the Fred Marx Invitational earlier in the year at Louisiana-Monroe University and tied for the championship at the UCO Classic.
Wright picked up her second-straight NGCA All-American accolade with a 3.62 GPA.
Koch lettered in her first year at NSU and earned a 3.65 GPA.
