TULSA — The University of Tulsa has announced the hiring of Derrick Gragg as the new athletic director.
TU President Steadman Upham announced the hiring of Gragg on Wednesday. Gragg spent the past seven years as athletic director at Eastern Michigan University.
Gragg replaces Ross Parmley — who was suspended in November and fired Dec. 4 after he was identified as an “admitted gambler” in court documents that are part of a federal investigation. Parmley has not been charged — but the NCAA is investigating the case.
Gragg was a four-year football letter winner at Vanderbilt
Gragg will be formally introduced during a news conference Friday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center President’s Suite at TU.
