TULSA — Warren Niles was efficient during his time on the court Wednesday night, leading the way for Oral Roberts with 29 points on 11 of 12 shooting including seven 3-point buckets in a 90-41 blowout over visiting St. Gregory's.
Niles was 7 of 8 from beyond the arc and played only 24 minutes. He tied his career-high for 3-pointers made in a game, missing the all-time school record which belongs to Chris Riouse who made 10 in 2006 against Oakland.
Oral Roberts (1-1) flipped the nets at a blistering pace, shooting 56.1 percent from the field against St. Gregory's (1-2), an NAIA school. Cavaliers' players will want to forget their own shooting percentage, making only 14 of 49 for a dismal 28.6 percent. The Golden Eagles were 15 of 18 from the free-throw line.
Fayzon Richey scored 21 points and pulled four rebounds in the loss for St. Gregory's.
