STILLWATER — Attorneys in the sexual assault trial of suspended Oklahoma State basketball player Darrell Williams will need another day to select a jury.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys each used three of their five allowed peremptory challenges to excuse potential jurors during questioning Tuesday. The Tulsa World reports the process will continue Wednesday morning in Payne County District Court in Stillwater.
Williams has pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape by instrumentation and one count of sexual battery. All of the charges are felonies.
Two women have alleged that Williams groped them and reached into their pants without their consent at an off-campus party in December 2010.
Before he was suspended indefinitely, Williams averaged 7.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in part of one season with the Cowboys.
