Oklahoma State beats Barcelona in exhibition game

STILLWATER — Markel Brown scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds to lead Oklahoma State to an 86-81 victory over Barcelona Select in an exhibition basketball game in Spain.

Officials said Sunday Brown hit a 3-pointer to give the Cowboys an 82-80 advantage with 45 seconds left in the game. He was later fouled and made one of two free throws to give Oklahoma State an 83-80 lead.

Le'Bryan Nash hit two free throws to give the Cowboys an 85-80 advantage with 19 seconds left and each team went to the line and scored a free throw for the final tally.

Oklahoma State trailed 10-2 early in the contest, but had a 44-41 halftime advantage.

The Cowboys are headed to the Canary Islands to take on CB Gran Canaria U20 on Tuesday.
