Union alum transferred to Atlanta facility

ST. CHARLES, Mo. — A Lindenwood University football player has been transferred to a facility in Atlanta for treatment of a spinal cord injury suffered in a game last month.

Freshman cornerback Sterling Thomas, a former standout at Union High School, was hurt Oct. 27 in Lindenwood’s 45-30 win over Missouri Southern. The game was played on the Lindenwood campus in the St. Louis suburb of St. Charles.

Full details about the injury have not been disclosed.

Thomas was transferred from a suburban St. Louis hospital to Shepherd Center’s Spinal Cord Injury Program on Monday. The center says he will begin a rigorous rehabilitation program under the guidance of medical and rehab specialists.

Thomas is 18 and is from Broken Arrow.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
