Tahlequah will make its third straight appearance in the Class 5A state tournament on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers, coming off a regional-tournament title after beating Coweta, will take on Chickasha in the first round of the state tournament on Thursday in Oklahoma City. Tahlequah and Chickasha will play at 3 p.m. on Field 3 at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
Other first-round matchups include: Carl Albert (the two-time defending 5A champion) vs. Collinsville; Duncan vs. Grove; Pryor vs. Deer Creek. All Thursday games will be on Field 3.
The semifinals will be Friday at 2 and 4 p.m. on Field 4. The championship game, which Tahlequah lost in 2011, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. on Field 1.
