Georgia picks up 2 guards on early signing day

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia has landed a pair of guards on the opening day of the early signing period.

The Bulldogs announced Wednesday that point guard J.J. Frazier from Glennville, Ga., and Booker T. Washington shooting guard Juwan Parker of Tulsa will play for the team next season.

The 5-foot-9 Frazier averaged 26.2 points, 4.9 assists and 3.1 steals at Faith Baptist Christian Academy last season. He is considered one of the state's top point guard prospects.

Parker is a 6-4 player who averaged 20.5 points and 9.4 points as a junior at Booker T. Washington High School. He is rated the nation's No. 30 shooting guard prospect by Scout.com.

Parker's older brother, Jason, starred at Tulsa from 2000-04 and was coached there by current Georgia assistant Kwanza Johnson.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
