Man arrested on DUI charges following traffic collision

TAHLEQUAH — A Tahlequah man was taken into police custody Dec. 3 following a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Fourth and Basin. Denny Petereit, 32, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

Michelle S. Angel, 34, of Tahlequah, was arrested Dec. 4 on warrants and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Christian R. Hooper, 21, of Tulsa, was arrested Nov. 4 for assault and battery and resisting arrest. According to the report, Hooper was taken into custody for resisting arrest after Hooper bragged to law officials about running from the police the previous night of the assault.

Aaron Wilson, 34, of Tahlequah, was arrested for domestic assault and battery following police response to a domestic disturbance call.

Shelby N. Ray, 20, Tahlequah, was arrested Dec. 3 for shoplifting at Walmart.

Brooke Burkart filed a vandalism report Dec. 2 to notify police that a known suspect vandalized her vehicle while it was parked at a friend’s residence.

Tsalidi Sequoyah filed a vandalism report Dec. 1.

Alvin J. Johnson filed a theft report Dec. 3 to report his wallet missing. The wallet contained his drivers license, Social Security card and military identification card.

A Love’s Store employee filed a theft report Nov. 30 to notify police that beer had been shoplifted from the 111 E. Downing location.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.
