TAHLEQUAH —
Tahlequah police arrested a Hulbert man Thursday evening after he nearly crashed.
Caleb L. Deardeuff, 21, came close to hitting an aqueduct at Bluff and Choctaw, according to police. A traffic stop was conducted, and Deardeuff was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police arrested a juvenile last week and later released the child to the parent after tools were reported stolen from a construction site in the 700 block of North Vinita. Taken were a Porter cable compressor, a Porter cable nail gun, a Makita circular saw, a Black and Decker reciprocating saw, and a jigsaw, among other items.
Anita Schultz on Wednesday told police her purse was stolen.

A Bunch man was arrested recently after he was found face-down in a yard. Jeremy Poafpybitty, 27, allegedly smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. County sheriff’s deputies arrested Poafpybitty on South 492 Road for public intoxication.
