Gas theft reported

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report Thursday at the Log Store south of Tahlequah after a gas drive-off.

Employees said a man entered to pay for fuel and food with a check, but the check bounced. He later went back to the truck and spoke to two women, who reportedly told him they were going to get the money and would be back to pay. The man was left at the store, but the women never returned to pay for their fuel or get the male passenger.

In other matters, deputies took an information report from Theresa Turner last week.

Brent Busch spoke to deputies after several items were taken from his garage. Busch said a gun cabinet, Knight black-powder muzzle loader, Mossberg shotgun, HP computer, Bear II bow, jewelry and other items were among those missing.

Wynema Ross filed an information report Wednesday.
