Report taken on assault

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report this week after a woman was assaulted.

Melanie Legler reported she was punched in the eye by a man who then slammed her against a car.

Clint Goad spoke to deputies last week after he loaned someone a 16-foot flatbed trailer, and it was not returned.

Connie Kirk reported being harassed through text messages Monday.

Joey Fields told deputies an intruder tried barging into his home this week.

Nancy Ray reported theft of 50 or 60 metal T-posts, two Chevy wheels with tires, and four mobile-home wheels and tires.

Stacey Sharpe reported being harassed this week.

Jerry Dorr reported the theft of a tin horn Monday.
