An area man was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop in the Welling area.

Jason Earl Matlock, 28, was booked on a charge of possession of controlled drug after being stopped near the post office. Deputies found a small baggy containing a white, powdery substance on Matlock.

Jackie Ellis reported the theft of a Yamaha four-wheeler Tuesday.

Tyrone Wilson said Tuesday a wood stove, space heaters, a TV and DVD player were stolen.

Nora Justice spoke to deputies Tuesday about guns being taken from her home.

Edward Farner filed a report Wednesday after discovering prescription medication was taken from his home.
