Horses escape, owner retrieves all but one
John Richard Noll reported a stray or stolen horse to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Friday. His horses got out of a pasture, and he was able to retrieve them all except one, a 6-month-old black-and-white spotted stud.
The District 1 Solid Waster Transfer station reported a breaking and entering Monday morning. Unknown suspects cut the locks on both the gate and storage building, removing a Stihl weedeater, battery chargers and a 1-gallon gasoline can with fuel in it.
Jeremiah Blue Malcolm of Hulbert told deputies someone came to his home Saturday, threatening to kill him and to rape his wife. During the altercation, the suspect pulled a knife and tried to stab Malcom. Malcom shot two tires of the suspect’s vehicle, but the assailant managed to leave.
Christina M. Parker of Welling reported are breaking and entering to deputies after she encountered a suspect in her home Saturday. The suspect cut her on the arm and then ran out the back door.
Geneva M. Wilson of Hulbert said items were missing from her home Saturday. A diamond heart-shaped necklace, ruby necklace with earrings, large pink ice ring, a mother’s ring, antique wedding set and a pair of black Wrangler jeans were taken.
Jessie W. Hansen was arrested for domestic assault and battery and kidnapping after he wouldn’t allow Jamie Potter, of Stilwell, leave. Once Potter got her keys back from Hansen, he allegedly elbowed her in the face and chest area. She suffered a cut on her finger.
Brittany Lay Cooper reported her car stolen Thursday. Cooper said when she went outside, her blue 2007 Pontiac G6GT was missing from the driveway.
