Man arrested for burglary

Tahlequah police arrested an area man Wednesday for trespassing at a local convenience store.

John Barsh, 37, was arrested at Love’s. The store manager said Barsh had been told to stay off the property because customers were afraid to leave the store when he was outside.

Wesley R. Martin, 27, was arrested Thursday morning for second-degree burglary. He was found hiding in a closet.

David Avery said someone broke into a mobile home at Stepp Mobile Homes.

Christopher Glass, 21, was arrested for shoplifting at Reasor’s and a Cherokee County warrant.

He allegedly took Bud Light, round steak and pain medication. Cynthia Kirkhart filed a report Wednesday concerning threatening phone calls.

James Jordan spoke to officers Wednesday about his home being burglarized.

Melvin Hendrix said Wednesday someone has written him some bad checks.

December Drywater, 26, and Marie Gerdes, 30, were arrested last Saturday for shoplifting at Walmart.

Lloyd Cooper, 20, was arrested for transporting a loaded firearm Wednesday.

Several small pumpkins were destroyed Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church.
