Man arrested for assault

A Cherokee County man was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Wednesday after an alleged domestic dispute.

Welden Stanley McMillan, 41, was booked into jail after an alleged assault on Kristee Pierce. Reports state Pierce was pushed against a trampoline and choked.

In an unrelated matter, Kathy Fletcher said Wednesday her phone is missing.

An employee at Tahlequah Cable filed a report Wednesday concerning a suspect allegedly receiving cable illegally at Garden Walk Apartments.
