Woman arrested after traffic stop

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman last week after a traffic stop.

Whitney Felicia Barr, 25, of Tahlequah, was booked for driving under the influence and driving under revocation. Deputies said Barr smelled of alcohol, had blood-shot eyes, and slurred her speech when talking.

Kennith Ray Stanley, 39, of Tahlequah, was arrested Thursday for driving under suspension.

Anthony Leon Thomas, 28, of Tahlequah, was arrested Friday morning for driving under suspension and speeding.

Jonathon David Griggs, 21, of Tahlequah, was arrested Thursday for driving while revoked.

Deputies took an information report from Frederick Walton earlier this month.

Hayli Wagers reported theft of a pistol Thursday.

Colby Patton reported a trespasser to deputies last week after he found a man sitting on his porch. Patton said the man appeared to be intoxicated and refused to leave for some time, but eventually walked away.

Sarah Dearduff told deputies last week that she was pushed by a man.

Deputies filed a death-investigation report Thursday on Norma Jean Brooks, 87, who is believed to have died from natural causes.
