Man reports vandalism

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to a man last week who said someone vandalized his vehicle.

Bill Hendrix said after his vehicle began running in an odd manner, he took it to a mechanic, who found sugar in the fuel tank, fuel filter and fuel rails.

Kelli Cooper spoke to deputies Thursday about a break-in and theft of movies, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and several other items.

Dorothy Toney told deputies Thursday she was choked, kicked in the leg, and then had a soda bottle thrown at her neck.
