Break-in reported

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a break-in report in the Oaks area Wednesday evening.

Deputies were called to a park near Redbud Apartments to check on a large hole that had been cut in a building.

Chasity Duncan reported that a man grabbed her by the throat and slammed her against a wall, then spat on her and punched her in the face.

Deputies spoke to Joshua Warner recently about an attempted break-in at a residence.

Anna Cullum reported the theft of a wedding band earlier this week.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
