TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to several women last week who voiced concern over Facebook videos.

The women said another woman posted a video on her Facebook that depicts the woman encouraging children to fight with their fists while she recorded. The women said there is also discussion about the girls using alcohol.

In other matters, Darla Sheffield told deputies she has been threatened and harassed by her ex-boyfriend.

Bradley Tullis reported theft of a large amount of aluminum panels and told deputies the items added up to several thousand dollars’ worth.

Armando Belmonte told deputies a tag was stolen from his truck last week. The Oklahoma tag number is 966-HCN.

David Armstrong said someone ran over his mailbox pole and left the area last week. Tahlequah police later stopped the same vehicle and arrested the driver for driving under the influence. Deputies said Armstrong filed the report for informational purposes.

Poll

Where do you think bicycle trails are most needed in Cherokee County?

In the downtown corridor.
Not downtown, because it would be too congested, but on peripheral streets, like Bluff, Downing and College, and Muskogee but not downtown.
On the rural highways mainly in recreational areas, like Highways 10 and 82.
Only in special areas, like parks.
I do not think Cherokee County needs any (or more) bike trails.
