Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to a man Tuesday about fraudulent use of a credit card.
George McLaughlin said three transactions were charged using his card in California.
Jesse McDaniel, of River Valley Church, spoke to deputies this week about a burglary at the church. McDaniel said a door had been forced open, and items taken include a bass guitar, an amplifier, a vacuum cleaner, and a microwave.
A death investigation report was turned in Tuesday on a 16-year-old Peggs boy, whose body was found in a wooded area in northern Cherokee County on Dec. 6. The report lists suicide as the likely manner of death.
