Man arrested for assaulting woman

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a local man this week for assaulting a woman. Rodney Swank, 41, of Park Hill, was accused of hitting a woman while she was holding a baby. He was booked on charges of domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor child.

Felicia Davis spoke to deputies this week about a stolen Nintendo 3Ds.

Kay Taylor filed a threats report Tuesday.

Deputies took a report of possible child abuse Wednesday.
