Police book man for DUI following local traffic stop

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police officers booked a man Tuesday morning following a traffic stop.

Pedro Silos-Rameriz, 21, of Sallisaw, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Henry Johnston, 20, of Sallisaw, was also arrested.

Calvin M. Wells, 29, of Tahlequah, was arrested Monday for disturbing the peace and trespassing.

Lester H. Andrews, 36, of Tahlequah, was arrested Monday for shoplifting at Walmart.

Police picked up a juvenile Monday after a window was broken out of an apartment.

Derek Quinton told police he left his wallet at a convenience store, and when he returned, someone had taken it.

Debra Minshew reported a stolen lawn mower and gas can Saturday.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)?
