TAHLEQUAH —
A Woodall volunteer firefighter told deputies this week that he has been attacked several times by another volunteer.
Steven Coleman told deputies the latest assault was after he had returned from a fire in May. Coleman said another firefighter approached him from behind and “choked him out” to the point that Coleman blacked out. He said another firefighter witnessed that assault, and said similar assaults have occurred approximately four other times.
Janie Garza filed an assault report Wednesday. saying she was pushed onto some pavement.
Doyle Beaver told deputies this week that someone stole a Cub Cadet LT 1050 lawn mower.
David Craig spoke to deputies this week about his family being harassed.
Vernie Luna told deputies Wednesday that someone smashed a mailbox.

A Bunch man was arrested recently after he was found face-down in a yard. Jeremy Poafpybitty, 27, allegedly smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. County sheriff’s deputies arrested Poafpybitty on South 492 Road for public intoxication.
