Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a home break-in report Thursday.
Chris Chaffin told deputies his house was broken into and four guns and some jewelry were taken.
The firearms included a single-shot 12 gauge, a double-barrel 20 gauge, a Winchester lever-action 30-30, and a SW 40 caliber pistol.
Debbie Baldridge spoke to deputies last week about a check being stolen from her truck and later written to Hulbert Public Schools.
Eddie Stewart spoke to deputies recently after he hired a man to help him install some windows. Stewart said he wrote the man a $125 check, and the man altered the check to be cashed for $325.
Travis Northrup filed an information report Thursday after a camper trailer’s door was found to have been opened overnight. Nothing was missing, Northrup said.
Rick Hiatt spoke to deputies last week after a man forged Hiatt’s name on a deed for a home and tract of property. Hiatt said his sister’s name was also forged on the same deed.
Jonathan Wiles spoke to deputies recently about threats from a neighbor.
