Pair jailed after stop

TAHLEQUAH — Two Cherokee County residents were arrested by Tahlequah police last week following a traffic stop.

Richard Morgan, 37, of Tahlequah, and Carol A. Sanders, 32, of Cookson, were arrested on drug-related charges.

Elias Saavedra, 19, of Tahlequah, was arrested Friday morning for having no driver’s license. Saavedra was stopped by police for an improper lane change. Police said a canine officer also alerted on a lock box in the vehicle, and the box contained a small amount of a white, powdery substance.

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
