Sheriff's Beat - Woman arrested after assaulting teen

TAHLEQUAH — Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman Tuesday after she allegedly assaulted a teen girl.

Dawn Rush, 34, of Tahlequah, was booked on charges of domestic assault and battery.

Deputies spoke to Mildred Ellis this week after an intruder entered her home through a window and stole medications.

Jimmie Jones told deputies Tuesday about harassment and a violation of a protective order.

Billy Bailey spoke to deputies this week about a 13-year-old boy taking his truck. Tahlequah police officers later found Bailey’s truck in the city.

Kimberly Clapp reported a stolen lawn mower Tuesday.

Preston Eskridge reported a home burglary Tuesday.

Deputies spoke to Brandie McDonald about destruction of property this week.

Todd Raabe filed a report late last month after he visited the area for vacation and someone stole his wake board.

Janie Kramer recently reported an assault to deputies.

Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report of stolen property Monday. Priscilla Bray said two people were at her home, and may have taken her medication, cash, identification cards and other items.

Dale Hall told deputies Monday that someone used his debit card without authorization.

Margaret Hall reported to deputies this week the unauthorized use of her credit card.

Ethan Jones filed a report last week after he was bitten by a pit bulldog.
