Reckless driving spurs DUI arrest

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man Tuesday after making a traffic stop for reckless driving.

Jerrod Shawney, 25, of Stilwell, was arrested for driving under the influence.

Raymond C. Jordan, 65, of Tahlequah, was arrested Tuesday for DUI.

Peyton Meech, 18, of Tahlequah, was arrested last weekend for DUI and other traffic violations after he was stopped for an altered decal, according to police.

Ruben Torres spoke to police Tuesday about his house being broke into and several items being stolen, including a piggy bank and weed-eater.

Police responded and took a report Tuesday evening after someone broke into the Phoenix Ball Park concession stand. Officers said the culprit rummaged through shelves and drawers.

James Hopper told police last weekend that his fence was vandalized.
