Shinn at 3 p.m.: Teams need their A-games home or away

NORMAN — Which teams had critical games at home used to be the deciding factor in the Big 12 Conference race.

That seems to have changed.

Big 12 teams are 24-13 (60.0 winning percentage) on the road this season. That's very close to what teams have done at home (30-18, 62.5 winning percentage).

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops isn't surprised.

"I believe it's a tough league in that everybody is good," OU coach Bob Stoops said. "If you're not at your best or you have a few turnovers or something you're gonna be on the wrong end of it."

The Sooners are the example. It's 3-0 in road games this season, but 2-2 at home. The losses were to No. 3 Kansas State and No. 4 Notre Dame, but OU hasn't had two losses at Owen Field in the same season since 1998.

Where do you think bicycle trails are most needed in Cherokee County?

In the downtown corridor.
Not downtown, because it would be too congested, but on peripheral streets, like Bluff, Downing and College, and Muskogee but not downtown.
On the rural highways mainly in recreational areas, like Highways 10 and 82.
Only in special areas, like parks.
I do not think Cherokee County needs any (or more) bike trails.
