Game time set for OU-Notre Dame

NORMAN — A 7 p.m. kickoff time has been set for the Notre Dame-Oklahoma football game.

The Fighting Irish and Sooners play Oct. 27 in Norman. The game is to be broadcast by ABC.

No. 10 OU is coming off a 63-21 win over Texas and will host Kansas on Saturday. No. 5 Notre Dame is at home this week against BYU.



TCU-Oklahoma State to kick off at 2:30 p.m.

STILLWATER — A 2:30 p.m. kickoff time has been set for the TCU-Oklahoma State football game.

The Big 12 Conference announced the time Monday for the Oct. 27 game in Stillwater and said the game will be broadcast by FSN.

OSU is coming off a 20-14 win over Kansas and will host Iowa State on Saturday. TCU beat Baylor 49-21 on Saturday and travels to Texas Tech this week.



Okla. St. kicker Sharp named Big 12 player of week

STILLWATER — The Big 12 has named Oklahoma State kicker and punter Quinn Sharp as the conference's special teams player of the week.

Sharp had two punts of more than 70 yards and kicked 42- and 49-yard field goals in OSU's 20-14 win over Kansas on Saturday.

Sharp averaged 53 yards per punt on five punts and had four kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks.

Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege and Red Raiders safety Cody Davis are the offensive and defensive players of the week for their play in Tech's 49-14 upset win over West Virginia.



Tulsa's Brown is CUSA co-defensive player of week

TULSA — University of Tulsa linebacker DeAundre Brown has been named Conference USA's co-defensive player of the week.

Brown had 14 tackles — including three quarterback sacks — in TU's 33-11 win over Texas-El Paso on Saturday. He shares the award with Houston linebacker Phillip Steward.

East Carolina quarterback Shane Carden and Houston kicker Matt Hogan are the CUSA offensive and special teams players of the week.
