STILLWATER — Former Oklahoma State wrestler Daniel Cormier met with the OSU wrestling team Thursday at Gallagher-Iba Arena and talked with the media in preparation for his Mixed Martial Arts match Nov. 3 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

Cormier, a two-time U.S. Olympian who is 10-0-0 in Strikeforce, will be facing Ultimate Fight Championship's Frank Mir in what will likely be Cormier's last match before jumping to the UFC.

While Cormier has been spending his time lately in the octagon, the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion called out former OSU wrestler and recent Olympic medalist Coleman Scott.

"The first thing I thought when I got here was 'Where's Coleman Scott with that bronze medal, because I want a match.' That's what I was thinking; I want to beat Coleman Scott because he's the man now," Cormier joked.

Scott, who is a little more than 100 pounds lighter than Cormier, said the match wouldn't even be a contest.

"Nah, he's too big for me," Scott said. "We used to mess around a lot in here. He was one of the coaches here when I came in as a freshman and was here through ’08, so we became good friends. So it's good to see he's doing well."

What do you think of Sen. McCain's proposal to allow cable TV channels to be sold a la carte (individually, rather than in bundles with a lot of channels no one wants)? Bear in mind some less popular channels could go by the wayside with no bundling support, and that while overall packages should theoretically decrease in cost, individual channels might cost more.

Strongly in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat in favor of a la carte.
Somewhat opposed to a la carte.
