Thursday, Jan. 17: GOOD MORNING!

TAHLEQUAH — Here's what we've got on the front burner for Friday's Press:

• Renee Fite checked out the "Littlehawks" cheerleading camp at NSU.

• Teddye Snell will have a story on how trucking poultry litter out of the Illinois River Basin is not only good for the environment, but helps the farmers' bottom line. (This the flip of a story published last week by the Muskogee Phoenix, and reprinted by the Daily Press.)

• Teddye will also have a story on Obama's proposals to curb gun violence – including your opinions on the issue.

Poll

Where do you think bicycle trails are most needed in Cherokee County?

In the downtown corridor.
Not downtown, because it would be too congested, but on peripheral streets, like Bluff, Downing and College, and Muskogee but not downtown.
On the rural highways mainly in recreational areas, like Highways 10 and 82.
Only in special areas, like parks.
I do not think Cherokee County needs any (or more) bike trails.
