Wednesday, Jan. 30: GOOD AFTERNOON!

TAHLEQUAH — The most important thing in Thursday's Press will be the Q&A with the 10 candidates for city office, sent to us by Chamber of Commerce Director David Moore. Pick up a copy (or buy the e-edition) to read the responses; we think you'll find them very illuminating. Also:

• Teddye Snell was on hand when newly elected Congressman Markwayne Mullin hosted a town forum this morning.

• Teddye also takes a look at Super Bowl parties.

• Rob Anderson will talk to some restaurant owners about what they plan for Valentine's Day.

• Rob plans to be at a VFD meeting where the chief has fallen under fire. We'll see how that pans out.

Poll

Where do you think bicycle trails are most needed in Cherokee County?

In the downtown corridor.
Not downtown, because it would be too congested, but on peripheral streets, like Bluff, Downing and College, and Muskogee but not downtown.
On the rural highways mainly in recreational areas, like Highways 10 and 82.
Only in special areas, like parks.
I do not think Cherokee County needs any (or more) bike trails.
