Charges dropped against school official

A misdemeanor count of unlawful purchase of pseudoephedrine filed against a Cherokee County school superintendent was dismissed Wednesday.

Assistant District Attorney Josh King, who filed the charge after a Tahlequah Police Department investigation, said investigators have told him it appears Grand View School Superintendent Marcus Crittenden was purchasing the pseudoephedrine for allergy problems only and not unlawful means. He said Crittenden will pay $414 in court costs. His case will be expunged, court records state.

King said it appears there will be other cases where a similar situation has occurred.

State law allows only 9 grams of pseudoephedrine to be legally purchased within a 30-day period. Prosecutors had alleged Crittenden purchased 10.08 grams in the time period.

Where do you think bicycle trails are most needed in Cherokee County?

In the downtown corridor.
Not downtown, because it would be too congested, but on peripheral streets, like Bluff, Downing and College, and Muskogee but not downtown.
On the rural highways mainly in recreational areas, like Highways 10 and 82.
Only in special areas, like parks.
I do not think Cherokee County needs any (or more) bike trails.
