TAHLEQUAH —
Authorities in Cherokee County are seeking information on a man who was reported missing Tuesday.
Nathaniel James Lewis, 33, is a white man who stands 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
Lewis’ mother told Cherokee County sheriff’s officials Tuesday that her son lived with his grandmother in the Grand View area north of Tahlequah until the grandmother went to Georgia on July 16.
His mother told the sheriff’s office that the air conditioning at Lewis’ home broke, and when the repairman arrived at Lewis’ home July 19, he found the front and back doors of the home open, and no one home.
Lewis’ cell phone was found inside the residence, but Lewis and his vehicle were gone. He has also failed to show up for work at Mazzio’s in Tahlequah for several days.
Undersheriff Jason Chennault said Lewis’ vehicle is a brown extra-cab 2005 Ford F-150. No tag information was available Wednesday.
Chennault is asking anyone with information about Lewis’ disappearance or his location to call the sheriff’s office at (918) 456-2583.
