Lost City plans several events

Lost City Community Organization will be having a Cherokee Language class on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 til 8:30 p.m. All ages are welcome.

There will be a Cherokee Culture Class Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6:30 til 8:30 p.m. The Christmas get-together will be Saturday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.

Red Cross aids at house fire

HULBERT – Red Cross Volunteers John and Bernice Johnson responded to a single family fire at 11326 W. Shady Grove Road in Hulbert.

They assisted the Ford family of five with a debit card for food and storage. The family was also put in a local hotel for two nights until long-term care could be arranged, according to Hope Margarit, Red Cross director.

Rotary Club taking grant apps

Tahlequah-Cherokee County Rotary Club is taking grant applications through Wednesday, Nov. 25.

These grants were designed to foster the welfare and quality of life for the citizens of Tahlequah and Cherokee County. Applications can be picked up at the Tahlequah Chamber of Commerce, Armstrong Bank, and Barrett Spinal Care or www.tahlequahrotary.com.
