ROLAND – A Gore woman was listed in stable condition Thursday evening after a motorcycle crash on Swan Road north of Roland.
Sheryl Schlaak, 50, was admitted to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., and later transferred to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., with head and trunk internal injuries.
Schlaak was riding a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle east on Swan Road when she failed to negotiate a curve. That caused the motorcycle to lay over on its side, never leaving the road. The cause of the crash is listed as speeding on a curve.
The crash occurred at 4:12 p.m., Thursday, and was investigated by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Kyle Henson assisted by OHP Troopers Jeremy Weedon and Sheldon Dobbs along with Liberty firefighters and Sequoyah County sheriff’s deputies.
