Business After Hours tonight

The Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce invites all Chamber members to the October Business After Hours hosted by Everything Under the Sun located at 123 N. Muskogee Ave. on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The event is come-and-go from 4-8 p.m. and is free to chamber members. Refreshments will be available. Register to win a free gift basket. Stop by, network and meet other chamber members.

Give a Wag for rescued animals

Humane Society of Cherokee County is hosting Give A Wag for rescued animals, Saturday, Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Norris Park, across from Sam ‘n’ Ella’s.

Adoptable pets, drawings, contests, story-telling, face-painting, baked goods, Give A Wag T-shirts, bracelets, and dog tags will be available. For more information, call 457-7997 or e-mail lakewoodliz@aol.com.

Presbyterians plan carnival

The First Presbyterian Church Halloween Carnival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m. The church is at 315 E. Shawnee.

This community event provides free concessions and candy, as well as activities including the Jupiter Jump, fishing booth, bean bag toss, bowling, treat walk, and face-painting. 

“I am excited about this year’s carnival and invite everyone to come join us. We hope to have a safe, fun event for the children of our community,” said Karmen Green, carnival coordinator.
