WAGONER – A Hulbert man was listed in stable condition Sunday in a Tulsa hospital after being hit by a vehicle on a county road north east of Wagoner.
Jason Wayne Carey, 30, suffered head, trunk internal, arm and leg injuries. He was flown by Air Evac to St. John’s Hospital. Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports state Carey was running south on the county road and the vehicle, which is unknown, was also headed south and hit Carey.
The crash was reported at 1:19 a.m., Sunday, and was investigated by OHP Trooper Todd Riggs, assisted by OHP Lts. Gary Isbell and Jason Holt and OHP Trooper James Loftis.
In an unrelated crash, Winston Riddle, 65, was listed in stable condition Saturday after his 2000 Ford Taurus ran off the road southeast of Muldrow.
Riddle, of Muldrow, suffered trunk internal injuries and taken by Pafford EMS to Sparks Regional Medical Center.
Reports state Riddle was headed north on a county road when his vehicle left the road to the right for 100 feet and hit a private drive culvert. It continued another 80 feet before stopping.
Riddle’s crash was investigated by OHP Trooper Kyle Henson assisted by OHP Trooper Derek Griffey and Muldrow police.
A third crash that occurred early Monday left an Inola man in stable condition in St. Francis Hospital with head, arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.
Jimmie Dale Hallmark, 53, was riding a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on 305th East Avenue in Wagoner County when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a concrete barrier.
The motorcycle went airborne and came to rest in a ravine 117 feet from the point of impact. The first call about the crash was reported between midnight and 1 a.m. Several agencies searched extensively for Hallmark, who was finally located by a Wagoner County sheriff’s deputy at 2:10 a.m.
Hallmark was not wearing a helmet. His crash was investigated by OHP Trooper Matthew Middleton assisted by OHP Trooper Jon Ysbrand.
