Hulbert School Board elects new officers
HULBERT – The Hulbert School Board elected officers during its regular meeting Wednesday afternoon.
According to Superintendent Wayne Ryals, officers include Kent Barnes, president; Matt Walls, vice president; Juanita Keener, clerk; and Rick Gassaway, deputy clerk. The new board member is Charles Thompson.
The board also named Thompson as legislative liaison to the Oklahoma State Schools Boards Association.
Hulbert seniors will be taking a school trip May 9-10 to Dallas, following board approval of the excursion.
After an executive session, the board opted to table discussion concerning the superintendent’s contract for the 2009-2010 school year.
In other business, the board approved:
• Changing the next meeting date from April 13 to April 9.
• The 2009-2010 school calendar.
• Transfer of $558 from the activity athletics account to the activity concession account.
