TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — OKLAHOMA CITY – Sales tax collections for January were down in Tahlequah and Hulbert and up in some nearby cities, a report from the Oklahoma Tax Commission states.
The totals represent November business.
The report indicates Tahlequah’s total was $560,417.95, down from $577,270.28 a year ago. Hulbert’s total was $7,363.91, down from $10,529 a year ago.
Stilwell, in Adair County, showed collections of $199,078.18 for January 2009, compared to $181,229 a year ago.
Westville’s total for last month was $37,105.07, compared to $35,170.90 in 2009. Watts’ figures show $4,953.45, compared to $2,091.
Jay’s total of $74,449.49 is down from $81,455 a year ago.
Kansas has a $10,910.05 total for January, compared to $10,326 a year ago. Oaks’ total of $904.39 compared to $709.43 a year ago.
In county returns, Cherokee County shows $557,011.28 for last month, compared to $555,289.50 a year ago.
Adair County’s January mark was $69,945.97, compared to $56,284.69 a year ago.
Delaware County’s total was $236,229.48 for last month, compared to $252,054.43 a year ago.
